BBC Media Centre, Media Village, 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7TQ, United Kingdom
Following on from the redevelopment of the BBC Centre and the Westfield shopping centre, the new White City framework sets out plans for mixed use commercial development focused on creative, media and biomedical research industries, a strengthened metropolitan town centre in Shepherd?s Bush Market and north of Westfield, along with 10,000 new jobs and 4,500 new homes east of Wood Lane.
This NLA 'on Location' event, in association with the GLA, examining the White City Opportunity Area, will bring together key policy makers, developers, landowners and architects to discuss plans and progress to date, as well as future challenges and opportunities ahead in this significant regeneration area for London.
The conference will be followed by lunch and an afternoon walking tour of the key sites in the opportunity area, led by the GLA and London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with support from Jones Lang LaSalle, Imperial College/Meedhurst, Allies and Morrison, Westfield and Robin Partington Architects.
