The future for Croydon Town Centre
04.07.2012 - 04.07.2012
NLA, The Building Centre. 26 Store Street, London WC1E 7BT, United Kingdom
An NLA half-day conference, in association with Croydon Council, that will bring together the key policy makers, developers and practitioners to discuss latest plans for development and investment in Croydon Town Centre.
With Croydon one of the worst affected areas during the summer disturbances in 2011, how is the Mayor's £23m package of improvements, alongside the £70m invested by the council, being targeted to deliver real change across the town centre? How are the public and private sector working together to deliver regeneration and investment? And how is the council responding to the new Localism agenda?
The event will finish with a discussion on the changing aspirations for new architecture and design in the town centre.
