A SESAM is one of the established EASA events, an exchange of ideas and experiences between architects from different countries. It is embedded within insterJAHR2010, which integrates both professionals (architects, builders, researchers, historians, artists, craftsmen) and inhabitants, and lets them jointly develop social, architectural and urban concepts.

Program:
23.08.2010 / 25.08.2010:

excursions to the Ex East Prussian cities: Gdansk, Malbork, Olsztyn, Zheleznodorozhny and others for getting knowledge of remaining city structures.Every town tells its own story: some have brushed all buildings aside and preserved nothing but the road map, others have scrupulously restored their historical appearance. Participants will evaluate the present state of such towns, their urban structure, prevalence of this or other site layout typology, and compare the lifestyles.

There would be history overviews held, town walks (single, in groups, and curated), and debates ran afterwards.

 
26.08.2010 / 27.08.2010:

lectures on history, urban theory and architecture of East Prussia. 
28.08.2010 / 02.09.2010:

workshops according to the group. 
03.09.2010:

final presentation, exhibition.
