03.11.2010 - 12.12.2010
960 E. 3rd Street,SCI-Arc Library Gallery, SCI-ARC, Los Angeles, CA 90013, USA
The exhibition features drawings, renderings, and photographs of two projects currently under construction: the Orange Box in Lyon and the FRAC Centre (Fonds Regional d Art Contemporain) in Orleans, France. Both projects have at once differences and similarities and it was with this in mind that we wanted to present both here, the dialectical and parallel aspects.
Orange Box, essentially a kind of climatic box.Its vocabulary is oriented and configured around different climatic solutions to create a durable environmental response.
Turbulences, the FRAC Architectural Centre. Its merging, mixing and confrontations of three different stories, forming three vertical air conditions or chimneys. The exhibition by Jakob and MacFarlane will remain on view in the Library Gallery through December 12, 2010.
