Jun Mitsui, AIA, JIA
Principal of Jun Mitsui & Associates Architects and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects Japan.
After graduating from Tokyo University, Jun Mitsui worked in Japan until 1982. After he received his Master of Architecture from Yale University in 1984, he practiced at Cesar Pelli & Associates, Inc. until 1992. He returned to Tokyo in as a principal of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects Japan and went on to found Jun Mitsui & Associates, Architects in 1995. Jun Mitsui is a member of AIA, JIA and Japan Architects Academy, and is a licensed architect in both Japan and the United States. He and his firm have been honored with numerous architectural awards.
International Collaboration
Jun Mitsui & Associates, Architects. and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects have had more than ten years of successful design collaboration together. In most cases, the two companies work together up through the schematic design phase. For projects in Japan, Jun Mitsui & Associates then completes Construction Documents and construction supervision. Both companies are connected with high-speed digital communication tools.
Jun Mitsui & Associates has a wide international network, collaborating with several foreign designers and architects. Through international collaboration, JMA is able to perform building design, urban design and interior design worldwide.
