Rüdiger Lainer + Partner Architekten have more than twenty years of experience in the field of architecture, general engineering and urban planning, since 2005 in partnership with Oliver Sterl. Projects cover a wide range of themes, including residential housing, schools, industrial facilities, urban entertainment centers, refurbishments as well as urban design exercises.
International publications and exhibitions have included being elected two times (1991 and 1996) to join the Biennale of Architecture in Venice.
In 1995 the office was awarded the prestigious American Institute of Architects’ Award / UK Chapter London, in 2005 the Price of the City of Vienna, in 2009 the best architects Award 2010 in gold and actually the 20+10+X World Architecture Community Award.
Rüdiger Lainer born in Kaprun / Salzburg, he is freelance architect since 1985 in Vienna. In 1997, he works as professor and director of the master school of architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where he teaches until 2006. Rüdiger Lainer is Member of the Land Advisory Board in Vienna (1999 -2002), Chief Europan Austria since 1999, designer of the Advisory Board of Krems (1996-99) and of Salzburg (2003 – 2007, Chairman since 2004), since 2006 Chairman of the Advisory Board for Urban Planning and Urban Design in Vienna; since 2010 Member of the Advisory Board for Urban Design in Linz. From 1991 to 2009 business advisor and Vice President of the Central Association of Austrian Architects and since 2001 member of the board of Europan Austria, since 2009 Member of the Advisory Board of Architecture and Design at the Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture.Visit Website
