Soriano and Associates Architects, S&Aa is an architectural firm founded in 1992 by Federico Soriano and Dolores Palacios based in Madrid.
Federico Soriano is an architect by E.T.S.A.M. in 1986 and dr. architect by E.T.S.A.M. in 2002. He is also Professor of Design at the School of Architecture of Madrid, Director, and editor of the magazine “Cracks in Contemporary Culture”.
S&Aa dedicate to their professional work with emphasis to research and criticism, writing in various books and magazines, as well as participating in various courses and conferences. Soriano was director of the magazine “Architecture” of the College of Architects of Madrid.
Soriano regularly lectures in Spain and in several other countries. He has also been a guest lecturer at various universities. He has been a judge in various competitions and awards and all these make S&Aa a well-known architectural team.
Dolores Palacios is an architect by E.T.S.A.M. in 1987. Since 2000, she became professor of projects at the University Alfonso X the Wise. Since 1999, she has been a member of the editorial board of the Journal VIA architecture of the College of Architects of Valencia.
Author of three monographs on contemporary Basque architects: Rufino Basáñez, Brothers Iñiguez, and Alvaro Lebanon, published by the Official College of Architects Vasco Navarro.
