The Technology Building with high-end laboratories for the faculties of Physics and Electroscience at Eindhoven Technical University was added as a second phase to the Cascade Laboratory building. The type of research being practiced here in 'cleanrooms' asked for a representative building. Therefore a monumental front façade was created. To show the function of the building the laboratories are visually exposed as much as possible. A patio in the southern section of the building provides entry of light in the more secluded research facilities and forms a remarkable connection to the adjacent forest landscape.
