Additament and Refurbishment of an Existing House in from mid seventies in Ekali, Attika

The design concerns the refurbishment of an existing house from the mid seventies and the integration of a new volume on its rooftop. The fine condition of the existing building along with its functional simplicity led to the preservation of its interior design. A new metal staircase reorganizes the vertical circulation and unifies the new volume with the garden of the house. The new space only uses a small part of the roof leaving room for an open air structure exhibition.

The construction was realized with the cooperation of its owner, the Greek painter Alekos Fasianos.
