Located on Century Avenue Shanghai Oriental Art Center is a cultural complex with an area of 40,000 sqm. The seven-story building that includes major consists of a concert hall for 1979 seats Philharmonic Orchestra, a 1054-seat theater and a hall for chamber music of 330 seats. The OAC also includes appendices of public facilities such as exhibition hall, music shops, restaurant and art information center. The building is covered by a single cantilevered roof, connected to the base by glass walls in single curvature. The shape of the building, highlighted by shadows and reflections, is constantly changing when you turn around. She leaps from the ground and opens to the sky.
