The CONNECT EnAbling Change Post-Secondary Design Competition is a provincial, post-secondary design competition that will emphasize the importance of universal design principles across all disciplines. The competition will be divided into 6 categories: Architecture, Landscape/Urban Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, and Fashion Design/Apparel. Students will be asked to submit projects that illustrate the principles of universal design: Universal design is defined as the design of products and environments to be usable by all people to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. This exciting competition is open to all currently enrolled post-secondary students studying design at the undergraduate level in the province of Ontario and will allow Design Exchange and the Government of Ontario to showcase the winning talent while promoting the importance of universal and accessible design.
