Architecture Faculty Receive National Teaching Awards

Robert Dunay, T.A. Carter Professor of Architecture, and Director of the Center for Design Research was awarded the 2010-2011 ACSA Distinguished Professor Award by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Professor Dunay was honored as an “outstanding individual who has sustained creative achievement in the advancement of architectural education through teaching, design, scholarship, research, and service.” Jim Bassett, Assistant Professor of Architecture, was awarded the 2010-2011 ACSA/AIAS New Faculty Teaching Award. Co-sponsored by the ACSA and the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) this honor is bestowed on a faculty who has “demonstrated excellence in teaching performance during the formative years of their architectural teaching career.” Both awards will be conferred at the 99th ACSA Annual Meeting, March 4, 2011, in Montréal, Québec. |
