CTBUH 2012 Shanghai Congress–Official Launch/Call for Papers
date added: 12.10.2011

CTBUH 2012: 9th World Congress – Official Launch
Asia Ascending: Age of the Sustainable Skyscraper City
September 19-21, 2012
Grand Hyatt Jin Mao, Shanghai

The Council is pleased to officially launch its 2012 World Congress – the ninth in its 42 year history – which will take place in the dynamic skyscraper city of Shanghai. That the 21st Century will be the century of the Asian Skyscraper seems indisputable. Many of the major advances in the typology are now taking place in Asia, often with a collaboration of eastern and western expertise. With global urbanization approaching 200,000 people every day, the need for a new or extended city of a million inhabitants every week is driving massive growth in hundreds of Asian cities simultaneously – from Mecca to Manila, Istanbul to Incheon, Karachi to Kunming.

Get Involved Now!
Your involvement is now encouraged through Submission of an Abstract for consideration by the International Scientific Peer Review Committee, or through Sponsorship. Abstracts are thus sought for papers that fit in with the overall Congress theme and/or the following sub-themes:
