Important Partnership between Davide Marazzi Architects and Cohen-Tolkovsky Architects

AN IMPORTANT PARTNERSHIP IN ISRAEL for the firm led by Architect Davide Marazzi, which will operate on the Israeli market in collaboration with Cohen-Tolkovsky in Jerusalem. The first step of this joint venture will we the project of the new campus for the Museums of Natural History, Science and Technology within the Holy City.

Milan, 2/2/2012 - Architect Davide Marazzi announced a partnership between his firm and Cohen-Tolkovsky Architects in Jerusalem. Cohen-Tolkovsky Architects has a proven experience in managing public and private projects also of large dimensions, due to the historical partnership with Moshe Safdie, the great Israeli architect whose studio is based in Boston (USA). In that collaboration, Marazzi Architects will mostly deal with the ideational side, while Cohen - Tolkovsky Architects will ensure precise compliance of projects with local regulations and proper execution of the same, also taking care of project management.

Davide Marazzi - winner in 2011 of the MIPIM Future Award in Cannes (with Architect Iotti and Architect Pavarani) for the project of the new stadium in Siena - is not new to professional experience in Israel: for the innovative project of the new campus of Bezalel Academy, Marazzi Architects has received a special recognition on the occasion of the International Competition launched for the construction of the unit.

The partnership between the two firms will start with the projecting - through international competition - of the new campus of the Museum of Natural History, Science and Technology of Jerusalem, to be built in an area of ​​great prestige between the campus of the Hebrew University, the National Library and the Museum of Israel.

The office has rapidly attained noteworthy public and private commissions as well as important acknowledgments in international architectural contests. Most noteworthy achievements in architectural competitions are the first price for Siena’s Municipal Stadium; the special mention for the new seat of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design; third prize for the regeneration plan of former ATAC depot at Porta Maggiore, Rome and special mention for the new scientific and technological area “Città delle Scienze”, Parma. Plans and designs by Marazzi Architetti are shown in national and international exhibitions as well as being published in the most important national and international architecture magazines.
