![]() Izmo Summer School 2011 – Public Spaces in the City – Torino, Italy Izmo has organized an International Summer School in Torino from September 5th to 14th 2011 which has the public space as its theme. The lectures will be taught by professors of the Politecnico di Torino, University of Eastern Piedmont and St. John International University, as well as Izmo’s members, and will focus on the topics directly and indirectly related to public space. Its aim is to provide insights in a broad and multidisciplinary manner. After the lectures and the design studio, participants will be given the opportunity to work directly in the public space. Each student will be given a budget to carry out the installation. During the workshop phases —design and realization— participants will be constantly mentored by Izmo. Finally, the training will be enriched by a series of meetings with experts and professionals: informal moments during which students will have the opportunity to interact and engage with those working in the public space, such as Izmo. The course is aimed at students, graduates, professionals and anyone interested in the issue of public space and urban regeneration. Participants of the Summer School will be awarded 3 credits, recognized by the Politecnico di Torino or by the St. John International University, transferable to any other university (with ECTS in Europe). In addition, Izmo will provide the logistical references for issues regarding housing, transportation and tourism. Deadline > August 22,2011. Link > http://www.izmo.it/ |
