![]() To honor the city’s indigenous heritage, Melbourne architecture firm ARM have designed a skyscraper that, when glimpsed at from certain angles, depicts a portrait of Aboriginal clan elder William Barak on its façade. Barak was the last elder of the traditional Wurundjer-willam Clan, and represents the “deep history and presence of Aboriginal nations” in Australia, ARM said. Once the Carlton Brewery, the building will live a second life as a high-end 32-story residential apartment tower by 2014. Source: http://www.designtaxi.com/news/In-Tribute-to-Indigenous-Leader/ |
