WAM 2.0 is here!

WAM 2.0 is here! The Beta version of the site is finally live. Much has happened behind the scenes since the Alpha version went live in April 2010, and work has already begun on WAM 3.0. Here’s a few of the new features included in the Beta interface:

1. 3 Search Functions. These allow you to submit queries to the database and get customized data sets back. Here’s a video explaining two of these in a little more detail.
2. WAM Links List. This is a link aggregator for sites of interest relating to the content on the WAM site.
3. Enhanced Maps. The maps now include street view and updated place marks to help with locating and traveling to projects.
4. Updated graphics package. This includes an enhancement of graphics already in place. The layout remains the same.
5. Media on each building. This allows to upload images for each project instead of just doing a general query.
6. Expanded Tag List. 50 tags were added to the database, which will expand the usability of the tag database, as well as make it easier to filter projects in the database.
7. Expanded External Links List. The list of websites that WAM links to has been updated and expanded.
