The basic aim of the travel to Zaragoza - Bilbao was the visit to EXPO 2008.

The Expos that take place every two or three are major events for the world where architecture has a leading role. The hosting country needs to show the world that its modern architecture is promising and pioneering.

The designs of the Expos Pavilions are usually a study case for future architecture designs and constructions methods.

Urban planning is also significant due to the need to host thousands of people, usually under extreme weather conditions, and to be environmentally friendly.

The city of Zaragoza has a few significant modern architecture buildings. But it is a magnificent city, human scaled with great places to visit, walk and eat.

The city of Bilbao on the other hand is probably the most significant paradigm worldwide regarding the total change that architecture and urban planning can cause to a city. A very beautiful city that is worth visiting by every traveler.
