Bio
Vaiva Šimoliūnaitė
Vaiva was born in Alytus, Lithuania 1985.
She graduated from National M.K.Čiurlionio Arts School in Vilnius in 2003, and in 2007 finished Vilnius Gediminas Technical University with a Bachelor of Architecture.
She has studied in the University Vitus Bering in Horsens, Denmark and was the recipient for the best architecture student award 2006/2007( Arno Dineikos Scholarship).
2006-2007 she has worked for offices in Lithuania such as ¨Pažangios architektūrinės mintys¨ and ¨KLAP/ Kęstutis Lupeikis Architectural Projects¨.
In 2007 she received Architects Association of Lithuania Scholarship for Best Young Architects (Under Leonardo da Vinci Training Placement/ Mobility program). In 2008 Vaiva received Honorable Mention in International Temporary Outdoor Gallery Space Ideas Competition , Austin, TX under colloboration with Travis McCarra.
Since the end of 2007 she is living in Barcelona and is working as an architect for ¨Miralles Tagliabue EMBT¨ office.
