Gilberto L. Rodriguez, Director of GLR Arquitectos. Architect from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), he attended the Master of Architecture and Urban Design at the School of Design at Harvard University.
His office, based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, has been recognized with over 25 National Design Awards rewarding their commitment to improve the quality of architecture of their city and country.
His first project built, Casa Elizondo, won an Honorable Mention in the National Biennial of Mexican Architecture in 1994.
GLR Arquitectos are currently working on various residential projects and high-rise buildings, among which is “Magma Towers,” a mixed-use complex of 38,500 m2, which will include 230 apartment units and two levels of trade as well as the house Al-Arifi, in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He has lectured at universities in Mexico and has taught project in the Technological Institute of Superior Studies of Monterrey and the Universidad de Monterrey.
His work has been published in over 45 books and 90 magazines nationally and internationally, in countries such as Argentina, Germany, Portugal, France, China and Japan, among others.
