The architectural studio run by Rafael de La-Hoz Castanys was founded in 1920. After two generations of architects, it is currently located in the center of Madrid, where it currently has the multi-disciplinary collaboration of professionals, mainly architetcs, that have worked together for more than fifteen years, giving a continuity to the experience and guarantee provided by the studio’s more than ninety years of existence.
Rafael de La-Hoz (Córdoba, Spain) is an architect (ETSAM) and MDI (Master´s degree in Management for Construction and Property Companies) from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. For more two decades he has managed his own architectural studio, specializing both in urban planning projects and in the design and construction of notable architectural complexes in Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Portugal, Poland or Rumania, with a wide presence nowadays in France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Marocco or Panama.

-The Swiss International Habitation-Space Award
-Several Distinctions COAM from the Official Architects’ Association of Madrid

-The Awar for Innovation in the ‘Quality, Architecture and Housing Awards’ of the Community of Madrid.
-The ‘Bex Awards’ (Greece) in the Technological Innovation’ category and

Rafael de La-Hoz is a founding member of the Contemporary Architecture Foundation, he also is a visiting lecturer at national and international Universities and is a distinguished speaker and judge of international competitions.
Among his outstanding projects are: the new headquarters of the companies of Group Finance Com in Casablanca, Morocco; competition for the refurbishment of the Real Madrid football stadium, Madrid; ‘Rey Juan Carlos’ Hospital in Mostoles, Madrid (first prize in the architecture competition); the new Repsol headquarters, Madrid; refurbishment of the Castelar building, Madrid; Biomedical Research Center ‘Bio City’ in Istanbul, Turkey (First prize in the international architecture competition); Huelva Train Station (AVE) (first prize in the international architecture competition); two office buildings in Pegaso Park, Madrid; the Popular University of Alcobendas, Madrid; Children´s Theater and Cultural Center in the “Daoiz y Velarde” complex, Madrid; Hotel in ‘la Défense’ de Paris (first prize in the international architecture competition); Museum of Decorative Arts (Morocco); “Danube Bay” residence in Budapest, Hungary; planning of the Extension of the Marina de Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal; residence “Wronia 45” in Warsaw, Poland; Court House, Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates; the headquarters of AMA, Madrid; the Hercules Towers in Bay of Gibraltar, Cádiz; “Confortel Atrium Hotel” for the Once Group, Madrid; offices of the Juvenile Court and of the Criminal Court of the City of the Justice of Madrid (both buildings, first prize in the international architecture competition).
