Alameda Chabuca Granda is part of the plan to recover Lima’s Historical Center. The design had to turn an enormous platform – concrete ceiling of an old parking area next to the Rimac river – into the first public space in Lima city, which would had to face the capitals main river.
This condition gave, as a result, a unique space-type to the city: a great extended plaza constructed upon a ceiling.
Architectonically speaking, the project explores the connection between the geometric ideal and human behavior in a solution of pure essential lines which became a social success in the city of Lima.
