Michael Marks Building was a cooperation between the University of Leeds and the well known retailer Marks and Spencer. It is located in Leeds and combines different kind of facilities, such as a big library for books and magazines and spaces for Marks and Spencer’s stock. Michael Marks Building is also a permanent exhibition for the products in the home town of Michael Marks.
Its bronze-tinted mirror glass façade creates beutiful reflections and protects the interior from the sunlight at the same time. This glass façade fabricated and installed by Drawn Metal Group in Leeds, it is aluminium made externally and timber internally in order to create a natural look and is folded as a reference in the books and the dresses that are exhibited inside.
