Located in the República Garden in Santarém this Coffeeshop becomes, by its location and interaction with the environment, a meeting point generating pathways and experiences.

The basic concept of this “piece” is based on the idea of transparency formalized by a limit which is like a white sheet of paper folded into the shape of the porch, which defines a space within the coffeeshop will live and which purity is only affected by intersection of a pathway.

The coffeeshop container is defined by the resultant void from the juxtaposition of a very slender steel sheet, which materializes the roof, and a glass box that, despite corresponding to vertical limits, it does not impose them due to the nature of the material. In this space, visually without vertical limits, live large white pieces that correspond to the canopy/lobby, storage and public and staff wc.

The relationship between the interior and exterior is totally a totally permeable.

The transparencies generated by the skin glass enhance the direct communication with the outside, allowing, at the same time, the conversion of interior space into esplanade space.
