Architects Riccardo Salvi and Luca Rossire, the brains behind the seriously stylish Home restaurant in Milan, have pulled it out of the bag once again, masterminding the revamp of the Valmann Bar & Club, located in the heart of Zürich’s city centre. Their brief was to create a multi-functional space so that the bar could exist as a chilled-out drinking spot during the early evening, and then transform into a funky dance club from 10pm until closing time. Small, leather coffee tables are pushed together to become long cylindrical sofas that line the walls to make space for a dancefloor. The dark-green, resin floor tiling creates a sleek and upmarket feel, and the black leather circles on the wall with bold LED backlighting set the tone for this sultry nightspot.
