Text description provided by the architects. Z58 is the second project done by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma in China. It is known to be one of the most living works that he has ever done and it acts as the window of Zhongtai Lighting Group Shanghai company. The ivy hanging down covers the facade of the building in order to guard the greenish and watery interior space.

Z58 is architect’s attempt for a traditional Chinese humanistic spirit with a living nature which is away from the city. Ecology is the main theme of the building. Together with the pure Japanese spirit, the building smells a sense of elegant traditional Chinese cultural flavor. Of course it presents an eye-catching architecture, including special quiet luxury.
