Text description provided by the architects. Hotel Castell dels Hams was established on the island of Majorca amid the Mediterranean vegetation in 1967. It is a small hotel that, over time, went and through subtle improvements and extensions and now it has become one of the most distinctive hotels in the eastern part of the island. The last of the alterations is a spa to supplement the heated pool. The spa is located to give the visitors the best views of the surrounding landscape. It is filled with light in all rooms where light is needed, intended to offer skin treatments and relaxation. Colorful showers of light flow through the openings in the roof and the space is sculpted. In this way, the building itself becomes part of the treatment, offering a feeling of total immersion to the visitor, a feeling of well-being created by nature when it is introduced into the building.
